Cover Art: Lil Wayne


I'm going to channel John Foster here and analyze an album cover. The album in question: Tha Carter III, by Lil Wayne.

I like it because the little kid has gangsta tats, plus a big pinky ring.

    That might be the greatest album cover ever. That'd be pretty funny if John featured this in in next "Judging A Cover By It’s Cover" article.

    Those tats look liked they have been photoshopped - a real designer would have had the kid inked and then taken the pic in order to make sure the lighting was perfect. Don't even get me started on the typography....

    I also wore that same suit to Easter in 76 so it brings back too many bad memories of my mom sitting on a giant bunny's lap to deal with.

    Killer ring though.
