sounds like a good show, if a bit repetitive

Did you go? I heard they actually put on an elaborate puppet show instead of playing music. Is that true?

It was more like a performance art piece. At the end of the show the lead singer threw chocolate syrup all over Potsy's shirt.

yeah, sorry about your shirt, potsy. just be glad that it was chocolate syrup and not what i was originally planning to use.

It was actually quite delicious. Thanks. Pretty good stuff for a first public appearance. Just trying to get your name out there, Dave.

I liked song #4 in particular, and the one where you said, "it would be easier if these songs had names," whichever one that was.

I agree, they sounded better than they should have for a 1st show. Little bit of feedback problems on one song and I think the vocals got a little muddled (not sure if that was intentional or not..) on a couple of the tunes. If you are a fan of The Fall or Pavement, you will like The Cheniers.

The best part of the show was all of the stage banter from David between the songs. It kept things from being uncomfortably silent.

God damn it. Why didn't I get some kind of email about this, DM? I was gonna break my VL embargo for you. I totally forgot because, you know, a surprising amount of shit happens in my brain over the course of two months.
