The Gitmo Mix, revisited
Here's a list of tracks in heavy rotation, used by the US government to drive detainees bonkers:
-
"Enter Sandman," Metallica
-
"Bodies," Drowning Pool
-
"Shoot to Thrill," AC/DC
-
"Hell's Bells," AC/DC
-
"I Love You," from the "Barney and Friends" children's TV show
-
"Born in the USA," Bruce Springsteen
-
"Babylon," David Gray
-
"White America," Eminem
"Sesame Street," theme song from the children's TV show
If I were an interrogator, I would be like one of those World War II British guys. I'd play a game of chess with my subject, and puff on my pipe, and say things like, "so you see, Ahmed, we're not so different, you and I...Rook takes Queen, checkmate."
If that tack didn't pay off, I would force Ahmed to watch this Fred Durst guitar solo:
Look what it did to Zakk Wylde:

David Gray....as torture... uh oh.
Nice post. Welcome back.
Jimbromski - nice to have you back after the trip to Thailand. Um, I mean your hiatus.
Clearly there are levels of torture. Fred Durst should be saved for the worst offenders. If they really want to mess w/ these guys they should make them watch WNBA games. They'll crack in no time.
"The Greatest Love of All" by Whitney Houston should get heavy play by all people torturing political prisoners.
And what's wrong with WNBA?! Title IX rocks!
I'm all for Title IX. I hope my daughter grows up and gets a scholarship thereby saving me thousands of dollars. There are a number of sports where the women are just as or more interesting than the guys. Hoops just isn't one of them. The WNBA is BOR-ing.
