McLovin It

While enjoying yesterday's NFL playoffs with Stuttson, Duh-Cut and other friends, the subject of the McD.L.T. came up. I don't remember why it did, but I was surprised to learn that there were some who were unfamiliar with this great evolution in food packaging/marketing. It's an invention to make Clark Griswold proud.

Anyhow, in looking up the McD.L.T. to inform our unfamiliar friends, I stumbled upon this great clip featuring a bushy haired Jason Alexander (he provides the cheese). I believe the producers of COP ROCK were responsible for this ad... Note Jason Alexander's pipes.

My favorite is the mustachioed guy eating the lettuce and tomato hamburger...

I mean it keeps the hot side hot and the cool side cool. What's not to love?!

I prefer the McRib - "no bones, and pickles with a taste of on-yun." Faux ribs! So sophisticated.

That's embarrassing. Was this before or after Seinfeld started?

The lush head of hair is the tip off--pre Sein.

George Costanza is funny. Jason Alexander is a knob.

There was a period of Seinfeld where all the actors got too much power and the episodes started to sag (example--the "backwards" episode, which sucked balls, plus the episode where Kramer's first name is revealed, etc.). I read that Jason Alexander wanted to do an all-music/song/dance episode. Fucking Broadway pussy.

BTW I'm not the only one who thought the last 30 Rock sucked (again, due to song and dance), check the Onion AV Club Tolerability Index for this week.

George. It just goes to show that we all have to start somewhere.

Did you notice that everyone in this commercial was dressed like Ronald McDonald? Those truly were the dark, dark days of couture.

But what does any of this have to do with rock?
